Nappy Nina – The Tree Act

Nappy Nina is definitely one of my favourite discoveries of this year. The Tree Act is an excellent release that captures her talents as a songwriter and lyricist beautifully, as her introspective raps about identity and mental health are original and incredibly personal. I feel every word that comes out of her mouth, and she’s a truly wonderful artist. REVIEW / STREAM
Devin Morrison – Bussin’

This is R&B album of the year to me. Devin Morrison’s soulful, sweet and sexy vocals and melodies throughout his album Bussin‘ is what makes it such a wonderful album. The soulful, glossy, synth-heavy production is fantastic too. This may be my girlfriend’s favourite discovery and for very good reason. REVIEW / STREAM
Melo-Zed – Zachary

Melodic, guitar-driven and bolder and more experimental than his previous work, the talented London-based artist has exceeded all expectations with Zachary. The soul and utter beauty of some of the compositions are just mesmerizing, and I’m happy and super excited for his growth. REVIEW / STREAM
Jerome Thomas – Mood Swings (Volume One)

Jerome Thomas’ soulful aura and stunning production throughout make Mood Swings (Volume One) a fantastic listen. The project includes some of my most listened to tracks, and his performance at the Jazz Cafe earlier in the year still remains as one of my favourite shows. REVIEW / STREAM
Emmavie – Honeymoon

Emmavie has had an incredible year, and I’m so happy with everything she has accomplished for herself. Honeymoon is the cherry on top of a phenomenal year, as the London-based artist has really excelled in every single way with a gorgeous, soul and R&B album. She’s definitely one to watch for next year. REVIEW / STREAM
