Music: Devin Morrison – Bussin’

If I didn’t just hear the smoothest R&B and neo-soul album just now, jheeez. Orlando-born musician Devin Morrison comes through with the smoothest, funkiest and soulful album of the year with his brand new album Bussin’, released on Onra’s label NBN Records.

The production on this record is stellar. The collaborations include Joyce Wrice on the gorgeous “With You,” Daz Dillinger on the west-coast inspired “The Struggle iz Real,” We Are KING on the soulful and spiritual cut “The Call (407),” Ace Hashimoto on the futuristic and smooth record “Guaranteed” and Lakks Mable on the pure 90s R&B influenced track “Fairytale.” I can talk for days about this record and how dope it is. Devin’s vocal performance throughout is sublime, whilst the production I believe is helped by the likes of Onra and Mndsgn, as well as being credited as a producer himself throughout the project. True nostalgia with this release, it is one of the highlights for me. The self-titled track is my favourite on the album, it’s just that sensual tone to the record that makes me want to slow dance with my girl the whole night, I’m not even going to lie.

So please do listen to this new Devin Morrison album Bussin’, linked below via Bandcamp, because it’s a gorgeous, soulful and sensual body of work that just oozes funk and love. Don’t forget to support! Released on NBN Records.
