Music: Emmavie – Stop The Tape (Single)

Yet again, I present you Emmavie. As much as I have supported her with reviews over the last couple of months with “High Off This,” “Burn This House” and “Distraction,” I’m never tired of her music.

Her most recent single, “Stop The Tape” is a more dynamic track, with a syncopated beat that is high in energy and rhythm. She stated on her social media that she had listened to a lot of Flying Lotus and Little Dragon when she made the beat to this track, and you can definitely hear their influences shining through on this record. Synths and guitar leads are interwoven with the beat and basslines that drive the groove of the track, with her ever soulful and soothing vocals being the standout on this track. Again, she impresses! Now onto the album!

Listen to Emmavie’s new single “Stop The Tape” below via Bandcamp and don’t forget to support! Her debut album Honeymoon will be released on the 22nd August via Fresh Selects. Album review will come of course!

Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by. I run In Search Of Media with the aim of giving a platform to independent beatmakers, rappers and talented musicians. I also hope to make this a home for music discovery, interesting film analysis, exhibition reviews and other interesting content for all of you guys to dive in to. I hope to start a podcast and documentary-style project soon. If you're looking to be a part of this creative project, please go to the contact page and drop me an email, or connect via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. I also write for 'Music Is My Sanctuary.' Thanks 🙏
