Music: Emmavie – Burn This House (Single)

The 3rd single from London-based talented musician Emmavie might me my favourite so far. It’s titled “Burn This House” and starts with an almost tribal beat and vibe, with wind instruments being complemented by a beat and sampled bird sounds, waterfalls and forest life. When she starts singing, the tone of the track shift to a more soulful, synth-heavy melody that keep the track engaging and incredibly beautiful.

As she herself has stated, “This is an anthem for those of us who sometimes stay too long and spend too much energy trying to love the wrong person. You’ve loved blindly, ignored red flags, and lost some of your fire, but you own it, get up, and move on.” Amen to that message, and thanks a lot to Emmavie for releasing gems upon gems.

Her brand new album Honeymoon is set to be released on the 22nd August via Fresh Selects. Listen to her track “Burn This House” below via Bandcamp and don’t forget to support!
