At this point I’m just dying for Emmavie’s new album Honeymoon, set to be released on the 22nd August on Fresh Selects. Having released the stellar single “High Off This,” the supremely talented artist comes through with “Distraction,” an upbeat, soulful and incredibly groovy new track that just sounds phenomenal.
It features DT Soul on additional keys and the talk box. The 808s on this track are impeccable, as the dance-heavy nature of the track make it a dynamic, fun track. The DT Soul feature sounds like some West Coast G-Funk tune, making it such a great, engaging and brilliant listen. Lyrically she speaks about her passionate love for someone, wishing the love is reciprocated. And the fact that Emmavie produced this one too? Amazing. Trying to give this awe-inspiring woman her flowers as much as possible because she’s definitely a future star.
