Music: Budamunk -Movin’ Scent

The incredibly gifted Japanese musician Budamunk has come through with a new album titled Movin’ Scent. It’s an album that proceeds his Baker’s Dozen: Budamunk record which was out last year, for Fat Beats Records. His usual melodic sound he has been characterised with over the years can be heard all over Movin’ Scent, with a key and drum heavy sound that sounds smooth and so incredibly raw it’s impossible not to bob your head to it and appreciate his talents.

This project features a few folks that bring their own character to the project. mabanua, TSuggs, Cavalier, 5lack, DJ YUZE, ISSUGI, Senninsyou, Epic, 金子巧 and Aru-2 all feature on this record. It is an excellent, vibe-heavy project that brings out so much of Japan’s hip-hop scene to light. It is an excellent album, one which is both terrifically composed and beautifully arranged.

Big up to Budamunk for this one. You can listen to Movin’ Scent below via Spotify.
