And it has arrived! Talented London-based artist Richie Saps comes through with an excellent new EP titled But Who Cares Anyway. The 5 track EP is rich with smooth and soulful melodies, incredibly lush and beautiful production, and an introspective tone throughout that is reflective and relatable.
The first track “Introspect” features a vocal performance from Ella Frank and is produced Richie and D.A. He moves with the times and through the waves of time, aiming for greatness. He sounds hungry, focused and confident on this track, something that is so infectious when listening to his music. “Who The Fuck You Speaking To” is basically a big fuck you to everyone who stands in his way and doesn’t support him musically. The lead single “Waiting” is a clear highlight of this EP, you can catch my review of the single here. “Badder Than You Know It” is his love song, as he tells it over a smooth and atmospheric and dreamy beat. “Waist Deep” has probably my favourite instrumental on this project, produced by my guy Intalekt. The subtle keys give out such a gorgeous and jazzy vibe to the music, and Richie flows over it effortlessly. He is “in waist deep until the tide goes out” in this track, which to me is a metaphor of being in a euphoric state of mind, mainly under the influence of alcohol. Floating, trying to find his way through the waves and unpredictable nature of life. A powerful and incredible ending to a soulful and gorgeous project.
Big ups to Richie Saps for this one, I am sure you have made everyone proud with this release! Make sure you buy Richie Saps’ new EP But Who Cares Anyway below via Spotify, and please support in anyway you can!
