Music: Lex Amor – Mood (Single)

Wow. London based emcee Lex Amor comes through with an incredible new single titled “Mood.” After announcing new music last week through Twitter, I was really curious and excited to hear what she would bring to my table and it turned out to be pure heat.

Produced by False Ego, the beat is incredible. Hard-hitting and bass-heavy, it also includes gorgeous guitar notes that create an eerie and unassuming tone to the track. Lex’s slow and passive energy gives for an introspective listen. She talks about how life is cyclical and how she is coping with issues in her personal life, fighting for creative freedom and wanting change in life. The subtle beautiful vocals in the background give this dreamy effect to the track, as if her thoughts are trying to break free from a dream state into reality.

In short, this record is incredible. Lex Amor has come into her own on this track, really highlighting why she’s one of the best to do it right now. It’s been on repeat for the past hour and will be for a long time. Big ups, and I cannot wait for the next project!
