Talented Japanese beatmaker Budamunk is back with a new project which is part of the Fat Beats instrumental series Baker’s Dozen. Being one of the pioneers of the beat scene in Japan, Budamunk never disappoints when it comes to releasing new music, and this new project follows that sentiment. With Dilla-esque drum programming, sample-based beats and an ethereal vibe, this can be a good introduction to Budamunk’s music to those unfamiliar with his style. As he says, “The selection of sounds has changed slightly in accordance with my current environment. Still mostly sample-based but adding new and old tools have become part of my process. Just continuing to create music my body and spirit needs to feel good.”
