London-based singer, songwriter and all-around incredible artist George Riley is back with a new 8-track project titled Running In Waves, produced by Vegyn and with additional bass by Ben Reed.
A smooth and meditative listen, George Riley’s hypnotic and sweet vocals are perfectly complemented by Vegyn’s textured and dynamic production that give the album so much life and intensity. Tracks like “Time” and “Running In Waves” are groovy, with garage-inspired rhythms and vocal performances that are just so captivating, as George raps about love, relationships with intimate vulnerability. The gorgeous strings on “Honesty” and the hypnotic drumming on “Acceptance” make them the standouts of the project for me, while “Desire” closes the album out peacefully and beautifully.
