Elijah Bank$y – THE FINE ART OF SMALL TALK

New York emcee Elijah Bank$y has been quietly becoming one of the exciting new faces in hip-hop. He’s built a strong-knit community that spans well beyond the borders not only of his city but his country. Spending some time in the UK and collaborating with quite a few talented artists here, his reach is global, and his ability to rap with ease over colourful and dynamic production is a joy to witness.

THE FINE ART OF SMALL TALK is the name of his new project, a 6-track EP that is the perfect combination of synth-heavy, R&B sampling and gritty New York production from CISE GREENY, with effortless flows and stories describing Elijah Bank$y’s life poignantly and with ease. The opener “CARHARTTSZN” sets the tone for the rest of the project, with menacing drums that complement Elijah’s voice. His ability to write hooks as well as detailed verses is what I find admiring about his craft, while “’04 BANKS” featuring DFNS has this incredibly lush beat, with both emcees giving it all on the mic, with sharp wordplay and intricate flows that meander throughout the beat perfectly. The dynamic grooves of the final two tracks “GOT MYSELF” and SHOUTOUT MY BARBER” conclude this project with a bang.

THE FINE ART OF SMALL TALK is Elijah Bank$y at his most animated and energetic. Go listen to it and support!
