Legendary London-based label Eglo Records have released some of the best and most influential albums over their 10 year existence. I even highlighted my 10 favourite ever Eglo Records albums here. Alexander Nut has curated a 30-track compilation album highlighting some of their classic releases, with music from the likes of Dego & Kaidi, Floating Points, Fatima, Henry Wu, Steve Spacek and more.
The diverse and eclectic array of tracks throughout this 30-track compilation just proves how incredibly diverse and ambitious the label is. From the futuristic Steve Spacek house opener “Follow Me” to the mystic and enchanting Floating Points closer “ARP2,” it’s an album full of old gems and new unreleased material from the likes of Floating Points, K15 and Dirg Gerner. New label signees Natalie Slade and Destiny71z are also featured on this album with “Humidity” and “Foodprogramvoltage” respectively. The former track is a smooth neo-soul cut with soothing vocals from the talented singer, while the latter record is an electronic gem full of synth leads and infectious house grooves. Overall this compilation album is a true reflection of Eglo Records’ true influence. There are some incredible tracks on this one, so do immerse yourself within these incredible selections.
