Music: Haz & Miloux – Blonde

Blonde is a collaborative project between veteran producer Haz Beats and vocalist and producer Miloux. Together they have created a soulful, hip-hop and R&B inspired project, with a beautifully melodic album tone that features hard-hitting boom-bap production throughout.

The 6 track project kicks off with “Problem,” a gorgeous opener with wonderful synth leads and fantastic beat that carries the groove of the track. The album continues to deliver fantastic moments like these, with tracks like “All Night,” “Enough,” “High” and “How It Feels” all having soulful, jazzy undertones and thumping boom-bap production that again, makes these tracks truly deliver a bounce and a heavy head-bob energy that is just infectious. Spycc features on the album’s closer “Down,” with a stellar introspective and lyrically dense verse, with Miloux ending it off with stunning vocals that just captivate me throughout the entire project. Lyrically, this EP feels personal, with Miloux talking about love, relationships and her mental health, truly pouring her heart out on this project. Overall, it’s a stellar album with a fantastic groove throughout that is just infectious and incredibly soulful.
