Music: Natty Reeves – Condition”

Bristol-based musician Natty Reeves has come through with his debut full length album titled Condition. As he describes it, it’s an album reflecting his past year, with musical compositions that are soulful, textured and quite beautiful.

The album kicks off with “The Weight,” with stunning guitar-driven melodies that bring this spiritual, groovy energy that perfectly sets the tone for the entire album. The drumming and vocal performance on the Simon Jefferis produced “Living Lonely” is another fantastic moment on the album, as the gorgeous guitar and bass leads throughout elevate this track to this mystical, meditative state that’s just great. The colourful and textured “Air” is stunning, with guitar arpeggios and horns bringing a feel-good energy to this album. The drumming on “Beyond My Limits” is fantastic, as the guitar leads on the track are truly fantastic. “No Other Way” is another great track, with beautiful guitar and vocal melodies throughout. “Driveway Thoughts” concludes this album with a piano-led piece and vocals that sound warm and soulful again. Overall, Natty Reeves really excels on this album as he is really able to bring out a colourful, melodic vibe throughout and make it sound soulful and personal. Condition is a great debut album.
