Brooklyn-based electronic musician DJ ST THOMAS has come through with a brand new EP titled MATRIMONY. His colourful and textured music is complemented by beautiful synth and guitar leads that makes for an engaging and pretty fun listen.
Tracks like “THE ENERGY” feature hard-hitting drums and subtle synth leads that complement the heavy beat of the track. The rhythms on “323” are infectious, as his vocal performance throughout is soulful and complements the groove and vibe of the album fully. “CENTIMETERS” is another gorgeous, playful and colourful track, with fantastic guitar leads throughout that add personality to the music. The change of pace on “BAHAREH (HEALED)” is great, with a drum and bass inspired beat that has wonderful guitar leads throughout as well. “PAUL JOSHUA PFIEFFER” is a joy to listen to, with an upbeat tone and incredibly soulful guitar leads and vocals. “FODDER” and “INFINITY PT.2” end the project off with more intricately composed electronic synths and guitar leads that perfectly capture the sound and essence of this album. Overall, the project is great as it captures DJ ST THOMAS’ beautiful musical aura. The 7 tracks on MATRIMONY are soulful, beautiful and wonderfully textured.
