Music: LORD BYRON – RIKU

Talented Dallas-based producer LORD BYRON comes through with a brand new project titled RIKU. I have followed him for a while now with some stellar releases such as 33 EP and as a part of KRYPTONYTE. He has come through with what I can describe as a trap album with house and electronic influences throughout.

The project flows effortlessly from start to finish. “TOO MANY THINGS” starts off with a moody, slow-paced beat and melodic vocals throughout. “HARDEST ARTIST” is dark in tone, as with a lot of this project. It has features synth keys and a thumping beat as well as an infectious flow throughout. The glossy synths on “GEMINI” are brilliant, while the soulful and introspective “BLOOD ON THE THRONE” is absolutely stunning. “HEAT” is another excellent moment, with a flute-sounding synth lead throughout and a thumping beat. Arradon has a stellar guest feature on that track too. “IN LOVE WITH MY HATERS” is a moody and captivating track bringing heavy beats and synths, as well as introspective raps from the talented artist. Overall, RIKU is a pretty good album highlighting LORD BYRON’s talents as a talented and sonically diverse artist.
