London-based producers Call Super and Parris come through with a 2 track 12″ titled CANUFEELTHESUNONYRBACK. This is my first time hearing of both musicians, but their collaboration on these two tracks sound beautifully produced, with synths and electronic effects accompanying this infectious, groovy rhythm throughout both compositions.
“Chiselers Rush” kicks off this 2-track EP with a thumping beat that is accompanied by subtle percussion and electronic effects, bringing an infectious groove that continues throughout the 7 minutes. The percussion-heavy “Majenta” brings a colourful, textures sound too, with a jittery beat that is heavy in bass and infectious, groovy energy. The darker and more mystical rhythm of the track makes it my favourite of the two, but both bring such a hypnotic tone throughout.
