Music: HashFinger – DANDELIONS

Talented producer HashFinger comes through with a brand new album titled DANDELIONS. This is my first introduction to the talented musician, and I’m immediately drawn to the raw, boom-bap and jazz-inspired sound to this beat tape. It’s really dope.

The track starts off with “SKINS / LEAVES,” a groovy, soulful track with a swing vibe to it. This continues on “CLOCKS / BURDOCK,” as the soul and jazz-inspired track continues to beat throughout, creating some infectious grooves throughout. This is the case pretty much throughout the album. Tracks like “FORTUNE / TELLER” feature some Turkish psychedelic samples, as the groovy and synth-heavy vibe of the project brings such a brilliant tone to the album. The smooth jazz on “PLAY / BREEZE” is also pretty fantastic. Overall, a stellar release from the talented beatmaker, so make sure you check this project out.
