Music: DJ Firmeza – Ardeu

Lisbon-based producer DJ Firmeza comes through with a brand new project titled Ardeu. His catchy and infectious take on kuduro music really shines through as he’s able to bring the energy on the 4 tracks on this album.

“AVAN” kicks off the track with some infectious percussion and drumming, as well as chopped vocal chops that bring additional energy and personality to the record. “Intenso” has a similar vibe, with vocal chops and incredible percussion that drives throughout the track. “RRRRRR” features these off-kilter percussion and synth-driven rhythms that provide for an infectious listen, especially as the track progresses. Finally, “25” ends the album with a stellar percussive groove that sounds so raw and tribal, it’s impossible not to want to groove to it. Overall, DJ Firmeza released a stellar EP that highlights his skills and talents as a producer clearly, as his infectious, percussion-heavy beats are brilliant and engaging.
