Music: Gustav Gustav – Daydreaming

Talented producer Gustav Gustav comes through with his brand new album titled Daydreaming. This is my first introduction to the beatmaker, and I was immediately drawn to the dynamic, textured and eclectic mix of beats that bring a unique and interesting sound to the project.

The track “93.9 FM” acts as an intro, with someone switching between radio stations, tuning into the right channel, thus setting the tone of the rest of the project. “Thinkin Bout” features Heine Aabø, and has some stellar keys and almost tribal drums that give the track a pretty upbeat tone. Tracks like “A Table for Two” featuring J Vibes and “01:27” are among my favourites on this project, with synth-heavy compositions that feature hard-hitting drums, piano keys and electronic effects to add to the texture of the album. Overall, the album features some stellar tracks that sound polished and well produced, so I commend Gustav Gustav for creating such a gem.
