Music: Terror Danjah – Invasion

Grime producer veteran Terror Danjah comes through with his 6th highly anticipated album titled Invasion. With heavy basslines and electronic effects throughout, this album is an interesting and engaging listen.

The heavy, trap-influenced opener “TBC” featuring Sir Spyro is a thumping start to the album, bringing wind instrumentation to the forefront of this devilishly produced track. The catchy and hard-hitting electronic beats on tracks like “Wavy” and “Last Days” are also great, while the majority of the album sounds much more menacing and off-kilter than I thought it would initially. The horror-induced “Nightmare” is a definite highlight for me, with its abrasive beat and hellish tone. The same can be said about tracks “After Dark” and “Snowfall,” with their truly haunting production. The only track I didn’t care for was “Metal,” but that’s simply because I’ve never been a fan of metal/hip-hop crossovers, but I commend Terror Danjah for trying to capture a different sound on that track. Overall though, this is a pretty good release, highlighting once again what a tremendous talent he is.
