Music: Grow Rich – Frantic Semantic EP

Grow Rich is a musical project from Indonesian artist Abdur Rahim Latada. Frantic Semantic EP is his new EP, a shoegaze album with fuzzy and heavy guitar leads and raw, exhilarating energy that is present throughout these brilliant 4 tracks.

The brilliant guitar leads on “Bounce Back” explode to life as intense drumming and dreamy vocals complement the vibe on this record. Musicians Arya Gilang Laksana, Cika Fransisca, Austin Powwaa and Pandu Fuzztoni all help provide a hypnotic, crazy energy to the project as a whole. “Kawan Lama” features the same aggressive guitar leads and another intense, infectious rhythm that’s wonderfully engaging. “Tenderfoot” and “Cat Flag” feature electronic guitar melodies that just continue the vibe of the project until the very last second. It’s great to hear great new shoegaze music, so I’m really happy I stumbled across this gem.
