Music: Gunjack – Steps2Change

Santiago, Chile based electronic musician Gunjack comes through with a brand new EP titled Steps2Change. This is my first introduction to the talented musician, and with incredible house-filled funky rhythms throughout, it’s a really impressive release.

The project starts with the catchy groove of “Steps2Change,” with funky basslines and infectious synths that just drive the melody of the track and make it a great opener. The funk of the guitar and synth rhythms of “Be Right There” are fantastic, while the driving, hypnotic tone of “Bad Girls of Summer” makes it another stellar track. The last two tracks feature more synths and keys, including infectious high-tempo beats that really create a dance-heavy vibe that just brings out amazing grooves and rhythms. Overall, Steps2Change is an excellent introduction to Gunjack’s discography, and I look forward to hearing more from him soon.
