London-based producer and Treehouse Vibes member AJMW comes through with a brand new project titled Eternal. The talented musician has been on my ‘ones to watch’ list this year, and I’m glad to see him excel on this release, a textured and emotive 7 track project which exceeds my expectations.
The gorgeous synths and percussion on “Ease Out” opens the track beautifully, as he is able to bring emotion and stunning textures to the record. The keys and gorgeous synths and electronic quirks on “Old Cartoons” makes it one of my favourites on the project. The beat on the track gives it an infectious bounce and groove too, which is something prevalent throughout the album. “Holwell” genuinely makes me nostalgic. The vibe and aura of the track makes me think of my childhood, and that is powerful to me. In fact, the whole project has that effect on me. “Riviere,” “Hope” featuring arbour and “Whistle Song” all have this soothing, relaxing tone to them, and “Back Home” featuring Delayde closes the project out with a meditative, beautiful composition. Again, AJMW excels on this project, and I can’t wait to hear what he releases next!
