Music: Drips Zacheer – Walkaway

Greek producer Drips Zacheer comes through with a brand new album titled Walkaway. His 2018 album Things To Do In Zero Gravity was among my favourite releases of that year, and this new project highlights exactly why he’s one of the best beatmakers working today.

The funky synths and electronic effects on “Proem no7” set the tone on this album, with vocal samples and a smooth rhythm. His ability to create warm, synth-heavy beats throughout while retaining old school, boom bap style production. “Rideout Midnights” is a terrific example of this, with heavy drums and a groovy guitar lead that perfectly complements the smooth synths and incredible overall production. “Heaven (Nothing Can Stop Me)” features subtle saxophone leads and an ethereal, almost angelic atmospheric sound that adds such a gentle, smoothness to the record. “Unstuck” and “Astrorides” are futuristic in sound, showcasing his ability to create diverse, eclectic soundscapes. Overall, Drips Zacheer comes through with an excellent new project that adds so much to his already impressive discography.
