London-based musician Dozer Carter has come through with a brand new project titled Soon Come EP. Being a member of OthaSoul and the very best collective in London The Sound Village, the talented artist has come through with an absolute gem of a project.
The EP starts off with the first single he released “Terminus,” an introspective, somewhat eerie track with an infectious beat and great vocals throughout. “Actual Fact” features 808s and a catchy hook, though the tone remains dark and unsettling with synths and the bassline giving that vibe. “Kentish Town Takeover” contains an infectious groove and a confident verse from the gifted rapper, who flows effortlessly throughout. “Put It On Me” sounds heavily Slum Village inspired with its boom bap beat and the poignant keys that add charm and colour to this vibrant record. “Out Here With Bowie” is an introspective and autobiographical track featuring gorgeous keys and another boom bap, hard-hitting beat. He’s really able to capture a sound throughout that is reflective and melancholic, while providing us with introspective lyrics that are incredibly relatable. “Waves In Abundance” and “Difference” end the album with upbeat, trap-inspired production, with the latter track featuring Naye Fshr, who brings a fun, intricate verse. Good to see him rhyming too. Overall, Dozer Carter has come through with a fantastic debut project highlighting his talents as an emcee and overall songwriter, bringing us into his world through clever lyricism and personal lyrics that shine through on this EP. Big ups man, hope to hear more music soon!
