Music: The Kount – Function EP

Toronto-based producer The Kount comes through with a brand new project titled Function EP. It follows his incredible album Virtually Yours, a stellar, textured project featuring funky basslines and gorgeous synth leads.

The 5 track project is maybe short in length, but it contains some incredibly groovy guitar leads and and wonky basslines that are so superbly arranged and bring such infectious energy that it’s impossible not to want to groove and dance to these tracks. From the funk-fueled energy of the incredible “Function,” with producer Moods to the colourful, joyful “Yo,” this project has it all. I can go on and on about how beautiful and lavish the production is on this EP, but I’d rather the music do the talking. If you want to dance, if you’re in that mood, then this is the one for you.
