Brooklyn-based musician T’Nah comes through with a brand new project titled Voice Of Reason. Having first come across her on Scott Xylo’s excellent 2016 project Analogue Eyes, With Digital Minds, I was eager to listen to this new project of hers, an 8 track EP with some excellent smooth and soulful moments that bring out her impeccable vocal talents.
“Tension” starts off with a synth-heavy, electronic melody and soothing, soulful vocals from the talented singer, who is able to complement the beat. “Act Rite” features a hard-hitting beat with beautiful keys and synths, with T’nah giving a spoken-word, rap-like verse that sounds confident, with a lot of style and personality. The cosmic, futuristic neo-soul & R&B production complemented by T’nah’s fantastic vocals makes it a great listen. “Man Dun” featuring Zamy Maa & Kumbaya is another gorgeous moment on the moment, with incredible vocal harmonies throughout and a synth-heavy melody being complemented by a subtle beat. Tracks like “Kundalini” are fantastic with what sounds like strings and guitar leads being complemented with groovy basslines and stunning vocal harmonies. “Lyft You Up” finishes the album off with more stunning vocals and synths throughout, as well as a hard-hitting beat that slaps. Overall, this project is an excellent one and I’m glad I’ve come around to listen to it and review it.
