Music: DIBIA$E – Bonus Levels

Legendary California-based producer DIBIA$E comes through with another stellar 22 song release titled Bonus Levels. Already being an integral part of the beat scene coming out of LA for the past decade or so, DIBIA$E really excels once again with a release that just sounds heavy and incredibly poignant, instrumentally.

The 8-bit production type we’ve come to love from the talented producer is all over this album. From “Movin Blocks” to “Jungle Stage,” the production is steeped in hectic, synth-heavy sounds that reverberate loudly through the speakers. “Last Wave” is crazy, with deep basslines and incredible and brings such energy. “Clockworks” and “Black Fire” similarly come through with incredible energy, as the overpowering hard-hitting and bass-heavy beats thump throughout the tracks. Two features are present in the form of remixes. 14KT remixes “Castlevania” and Elaquent remixes “Metroid.” Both records are synth-heavy and hard-hitting, bringing such infectious energy throughout. As a whole, this tape is a heavy and engaging listen, and DIBIA$E continues to show why he’s one of the best producers working today.
