Music: Barney Artist – Rose Thorn ft Dornik (Single & Video)

Forest Gate musician Barney Artist is one of the most exciting prospects in the hip-hop scene in London. Having worked with the likes of Jordan Rakei, Emmavie, Alfa Mist and Jay Prince, his sound is soulful, smooth and incredibly introspective as well. On his new single and video “Rose Thorn,” he turns romantic with a sweet love song that features infectious guitar leads, a gorgeous vocal performance and hook from Dornik, who bring such soul and passion to the track, and an incredible flow from the talented rapper.

The video is incredibly directed by Jonas Risvig, who brings a cinematic experience to the track, with colours that bring such a soothing and summer-like tone to the feel-good track. Barney Artist released a gem with this record. As an independent artist, he has been able to craft such a lane for himself to excel and blossom creatively, and I couldn’t be happier for him.

You can watch the video to “Rose Thorn” ft Dornik via YouTube. It will feature on his debut album Home Is Where The Art Is, set to be released on the 21st September.
