Though Sean has been involved with music in some capacity for years, it wasn’t until March 2017 when he released his first radio show that he really saw potential with Stay Cool, an idea and vision that connect music and art lovers all around the world through radio shows, compilations and now events.
The recent Altogether tapes provide an entry point to the expansive underground electronic and hip-hop scene coming from not only from London, but around the world. Stay Cool, while based in London is a global movement. At least that’s what seangran envisions. Altogether, Part 3 is the third instalment of tapes bringing all the freshest sounds. Featuring the familiar talents of Digital Mozart, Naye Fshr, mattdeguia, Mecca:83, Jake Milliner, K, Le Maestro and AyChibs, this tape captures a mood that feels organic in sound. Something that has been harvested with care and attention.
With his recent event at Birthdays in Dalston, London on the 3rd of August this year and the release of this new tape, I was eager to sit down with Sean and talk about how his experiences growing up, from childhood to his recent time in Japan, have influenced and changed him from a personal and creative perspective. First, make sure you listen and support Stay Cool by listening and purchasing the tapes and merchandise. All info can be found through the link here. You can check out my reviews of Altogether, Part 1 and Altogether, Part 2 as well.
