a few thoughts: fauzia has been at the forefront of some of the most innovative electronic music coming from the underground london electronic scene. she’s always pushing boundaries and creating unique soundscapes with her music. her new ep i was here for a moment is short but sweet, with 4 tracks exploring a plethora of sounds and experiments that sound soulful and soothing. “guide” kicks the ep off with a punchy trip-hop-like beat, as fauzia’s vocals float over the dynamic groove. “without me” is a slower-paced track, with a sweet melody accompanied by a groovy bassline and sweet guitar leads and string sections that feel euphoric. “i can be anything” has a dreamy beat and vocal melody, while “just a dream” is a sweet and guitar-led closer that is hypnotic, and closes the ep out with a delicate and reflective closer. fauzia’s vocals are stunning throughout the project, and the production is soulful and mesmerising throughout. i was here for a moment is a fleeting yet immersive project that captures fauzia’s talents as a producer and singer poginantly. can’t wait to hear her explore this sound further!
