a few thoughts: piezo’s psychedelic and dubby sound is at full throttle on sky burial ep, a 5-track project with trance-like moments that are utterly hypnotic from start to finish. the vocal sample and atmospheric sound on the self-titled opener is utterly mesmerising, while the punchy, jittery “their amnesiac couriers” is a dynamic and fun moment on the ep. the dark, rhythmic, and unassuming “bardo climax” is a fantastic moment on the album, with an incredibly hypnotic energy that is just relentless throughout its six and a half minutes. the dark, rumbling synth leads and the dub-led groove make for a fantastic listen. the high-paced energy of “trunks” is also great, while the colourful and bright synths on “vimelodica” complement the riveting, high-tempo energy of the beat. sky burial ep is an excellent collection of psychedelic electronic goodness, perfect for the dancefloor.
