Chicago producer tropes has come through with a brand new beat tape titled only here. He has been someone I have been actively following for a while through releases such as Polar Role and OTW, so any new music he releases, I look forward to. With this new tape, he continues his streak of melodic and funky beats with fantastic looped samples.
The 21 track project is stacked with amazing moments, with groovy and catchy samples, as well as synth-heavy compositions that bring such an amazing tone throughout. From the gorgeous opener “you’re only here” to the groovy and heavy “hop in it,” the talented musician is able to really bring a diverse set of sounds that sound raw and incredibly engaging, like I’d want to dance to them. Overall, he excels on this release, and I hope he continues to thrive musically as he’s really one of the most underrated producers working today.
