Music: Ted Jasper – Back for More EP

London-based musician Ted Jasper comes through with a brand new EP titled Back for More. He has released some stellar music in the past with Buried EP and One Day, and this new project shows the extent of his talents, with soulful, rhythmic and gorgeously textured compositions.

The project kicks off with synths, keys and a 2-step beat on “Back for More,” with the talented musician’s soulful vocals shining through. The subtle horn sections throughout are beautiful, and the infectious rhythms are pretty great. The guitar and percussion-led “Don’t Want It” is another highlight, with a groovy beat that drives the rhythm of the track forward. The jazzy undertones on “Back to the Start” are great, with horns and synths throughout making this track a gorgeous, melodic one, as his slightly husky vocals also add a moody touch. “Did She Know” ends the album out with a beautifully textured track, with an infectious 2-step beat and gorgeous uncredited female vocals that are soothing. Overall, the gorgeous melodies, coupled with the infectious 2-step beats and hypnotic vocals make for a fantastic listen.
