Music: Knxwledge – WT_PRT15.

Established LA-based production legend Knxwledge has come through with another fantastic remix album titled WT_PRT15. Following releases such as Gladwemet, the talented musician has kept consistent. With this new release, he remixes some classic and not-no-classic tunes to great effect.

It’s the way he’s able to flip samples, man. He’s literally a god in that regard and it’s incredible hearing him kill it yet again. Tracks like the Jay-Z sampled “dedpresidents” and “UGK[TAPE]” bring such a soulful aura to the project as he’s really able to bring such angelic production to this release. Tracks like “team[SRF]” sample Young Thug, and the stark juxtaposition between the soulful, intricate production Knx produces and the trap-influenced beats Thugger, and many other rappers usually get shouldn’t work… but it does. He’s already established himself as one of the best producers of this new generation, so records like these shouldn’t come as a surprise, but I’m still in awe sometimes.
