Music: Sycho Sid – We’re All Our Own Demons

Mutant Academy member Sycho Sid comes through with a brand new album titled We’re All Our Own Demons. The textured and raw instrumental album is stunning in its composition, with gorgeous synth-heavy melodies and visceral beats throughout that add a ton of personality to his music.

Starting with the hellish opener “Pride,” the album dives into a world full of hypnotic melodies, hard-hitting beats and “oh my” moments that captivate and move me throughout. The subtle samples on tracks like “Pearls Before Swine” are beautiful, adding a depth to the music that brings such a soulful touch to it. The rhythms and grooves throughout tracks like “A Name Is Power” and “Countin Worms” are infectious, with guitar, bass and synth leads bringing a stunningly beautiful aura and energy to the album. The harder hitting moments such as “At Peace” and “Grievances” are also excellent and bring more of a dynamic energy to the music. “Go To One’s Reward” ends off the album brilliantly with another heavy beat that’s stellar and emphatic. Overall, a great release from the talented beatmaker, who is bount to have a fruitful and successful year ahead.
