Music: Kojaque & Luka Palm – Green Diesel

Irish duo Kojaque & Luka Palm have released a stellar new project titled Green Diesel. The incredible, glossy, electronic and soulful production throughout and the stellar verses from the talented musicians make this an incredibly engaging and catchy release.

With production New Machine (“Phoenix”), Kean Kavanagh (“Date Night”, “Airbnb” + more) and Matt Finnegan (“Spit Dat Out”), this project is diverse, eclectic and highly enjoyable. The keys on “Flight 208” start this album on with a jazzy instrumental and an introspective, thoughtful verse from the talented rappers. The trap-influenced “Airbnb” has a hard-hitting beat and playful, poetic wordplay from the two artists, who bring their fun, eclectic personalities on a catchy track. Tracks like “Date Night” and “Paris, Texas” are soulful, introspective tracks that talk about relationships and love. The latter of the two tracks features some soulful singing, taking the project into a more soulful, slow-paced tempo and vibe. “SPIT DAT OUT” has a colourful instrumental, while “Chew Toy” featuring Scottish MC CHLOBOCOP features incredible guitar leads, as well as a menacing delivery from Kojaque and Luka Palm, who continues spitting relatable and thoughtful lyrics about life. “Phoenix” end the album on a high, with a brilliant, thumping beat and excellent lyricism throughout. Overall, this is a great project that highlights the talents from both emcees, who again show why they are one of the most exciting hip-hop duos in recent years.
