Music: Tawiah – Recreate (Single, taken off her upcoming album Starts Again, out on the 18th October)

London-based musician Tawiah has released her brand new single titled “Recreate” off her upcoming debut album Starts Again. Having been a fan of Tawiah for a while now, I’m genuinely psyched to see her blossom and grow from year to year, and this new single is incredibly soulful and captures exactly what I love about the artist.

“Recreate” is a raw, honest and gorgeous track. With incredibly groovy, dominant basslines and infectious percussive grooves, this track is beautifully arranged, with a textured, eclectic composition that sounds so raw and powerful. One of the themes of her upcoming album will be exploration of her identity as a queer woman of colour, raised in a Pentecostal family. Her strong and powerful voice makes her music raw and authentic, and it really makes me excited for her album.

Listen to Tawiah’s new single “Recreate” below via Bandcamp and don’t forget to support! It is taken from her upcoming debut album Starts Again, set to be released on the 18th October on First Word Records.
