baechulgi is a producer from Waipahu, Hawaii. She has released a brand new album titled soul searching, a gorgeous body of work which features stunning piano keys and synths that meander in between a soft beat, giving the album an ethereal, spiritual tone overall.
Tracks like “reflection” and “calm” are beautiful, with smooth synths and wonderfully gorgeous melodies that are calming and reflective. Tracks like “there” and “intermission” feature more harder-hitting beats, with the latter track having some groovy guitar lines that combined with the more dynamic energy of the beat, making for an engaging listen. The harp-like sounds on “north star” are stunning, and bring out such an otherworldly listening experience. I’m really impressed with this release, and would love to hear more of baechulgi’s music as a result of this album.
