Talented 23 year old Tennessee producer and saxophonist Sterfry comes through with a brand new project titled Life Pt. 1. Incorporating elements of jazz, hip-hop and house music, this short project is punchy and memorable.
From the first track “Wayword1” you can hear smooth synths, keys and an engaging beat being complemented by singer Sunshine’s soulful vocals. “Hot Tub Olympics” is another stellar record, with a synth-heavy melody being sprinkled by gorgeous keys and a bassline that dominates the grooves of the track. “Confused” and “Gone!!” are two house-infused tracks with percussive grooves with saxophone leads and an improvisational-like tone throughout. “Solo Section” and “Treasure” are two hip-hop inspired records with boom-bap beats that hit hard and an amazing punchiness to the tracks that make them engaging and head-nod heavy tracks. Overall, Sterfry comes through with an excellent short project that is a perfect vibe for the summer.
