South East London native musician Ben Hauke comes through with a brand new EP titled Gettin Twisted EP, a follow-up to his 2018 album Only Old. With high energy beats and house-fueled grooves, his new EP showcases exactly why he is one of the best producers within the London scene at the moment.
“Oh My God (That Feeling)” features some stellar smooth vocals from Nathan Adams, who sings over a pulsating beat with synths and an infectious groove – a perfect summertime groove. “The Way They Rep” features keys sprinkled throughout a groovy, bass-heavy beat throughout. It’s amazing how much soul Ben has with his production. “Gettin Twisted” and “Right On” are some smooth, soulful and funky cuts that again, feel perfect for dancefloors around London this summer. Disco samples, infectious energy and a jazz-like aura to the music is what makes this one of the best EPs of the year so far. This makes me even more excited for new releases and collaborations in the future.
