Music: plusma & FatB – Initial

Hamburg based producer plusma and Italian producer FatB come through with a short collaborative project titled Initial. The duo produce bass-heavy hip-hop instrumentals that are layered with gorgeous synths and piano melodies that give the EP as a whole an ethereal, often meditative tone.

“Horus” for example is a slow-paced track which brings out synths and electronic melodies that build throughout the song, really making it an energetic, highly enjoyable moment on the album. “Talismän” brings a heavy beat that is complemented by a sweet piano melody and subtle vocal snippets that give it a beautiful tone and energy. “Cherrytree” and “Stride Love” are both animated tracks with a lot of personality, and there is some nostalgic vibe I get from the latter track on this EP, which makes it a great project closer.

Overall, this short 4-track EP is brilliant and you should all go support! Listen to plusma & FatB’s Initial EP below via Bandcamp. Released via Dezi-Belle Records.
