Manny is a young musician I have been following for a while now, since the release of his 2017 project Poem, released on Urban Waves Records. He has come through with a new project titled Evening Rain, a short but sweet and soulful new project that showcases his talents as a storyteller through his moody, rich soundscapes.
Throughout this 7 track project, he meanders through soulful landscapes using blissful keys, soulful melodies and funky beats, to give out a nostalgic, gorgeous vibe that really does transport you to places. There’s something about the synth and subtle guitar rhythms on “alone,” for example that just bring me back to childhood memories. It’s a slow-paced but fascinating release and it deserves all the support it can get.
