Music: ENDRUN – innervision

A bit late to this one, but still worth covering of course, Osaka-based Japanese producer ENDRUN came through earlier this year with a fantastic new album titled innervision. With multiple collaborations throughout, including ones with JJJ, DJ GQ, ILLSUGI, BudaMunk and Aru-2 among others. It is a colourful record with a lot of highlights, so it’s definitely worth your time.

For starters, the flow of this project is great. Each track flows effortlessly from one track into the next, and with the incredible production on record, ENDRUN really exceeds expectations with this release. With sweet sampling and synth and key-heavy production, the Japanese producer is able to design a stellar soundscape that enables for some of the Japanese emcees to flow effortlessly throughout some of the tracks. “F.L.O.W” is an example of this, with Senninsyou and Mr.PUG both flowing incredibly on the track. As a non-Japanese speaker, it’s just dope to hear how they’re able to ride the beat so well. ILLNANDES is another emcee who appears throughout the album on “CZN’PASS – Remix” and “Same Way to Go,” as his flows also complement the colourful, jazzy production ENDRUN is able to create.

This is a common theme throughout this excellent project, and I can’t wait to hear more from the talented producer. Listen to innervision below via Spotify, and don’t forget to support!
