Richmond, Virginia legend Ohbliv comes through with an incredible new release titled Soulphonic. I’ve been following this man’s growth for years now and it’s honestly amazing seeing his growth from year to year with each album, in my honest opinion, being better than the last.
This new release highlights Ohbliv’s talents to the max, with gorgeous soulful, and looped samples and compositions that are backed by bass-heavy boom-bap production that is characteristic of Ohbliv’s sound. From the ethereal vocal snippet of “If You’re Ready” to the subtle keys on “The Little Things,” Ohbliv is able to create a moody, atmospheric yet head-bob worthy music that just sounds amazing. There really is no other way to put it.
