Music: Odeeno – Diamond Sand

Italian-based producer Odeeno comes through with a new tape titled Diamond Sand. 18 tracks long, the tape meanders between soulful loops and samples, really highlighting Odeeno’s personality effortlessly through his music. As he describes it, this is a new story, a new meeting of sounds that envelop into a lighter tone that we have come to expect from Odeeno. This time the colours are clearer you can’t hear the melancholy and its Mediterranean influence, there is more of a mix of 80’s sounds and obscure hip-hop samples that make for a fascinating listen.

Diamond Sand is a great metaphor for bright colours, sensations, and a new opening of mood and sound. The lighter atmosphere that the tape provides recalls of the 80s and the parties on the beach, the climate of love and sensuality that is almost R&B-like.
