Music: Zilo -The Nature Of The Beast

One of the most exciting, promising and potentially legendary R&B singer Zilo comes through with her debut album The Nature Of The Beast.

The 10-track album highlights  her amazing vocal range over a diverse set of instrumentals that beautifully complement the soulful nature of her voice. As a songwriter, she excels too, providing us with varied themes of (self) love and positivity through hard-work amongst other things. Each track has a different sound and personality altogether, which is refreshing as there isn’t one specific tone to the album. Each track sounds unique in its own way and allows for Zilo to really shine through throughout. Each track has a different artwork too, which really highlights her colourful personality through the visuals, and it definitely translates through the music. “Don’t Waste my Time,” “Adore” and “Keep Up Wimmi” are my highlights to this album, but there’s not one bad moment on this album. A true testament to her talents, and I cannot wait to see her grow into something special in the future.
