Music: Various Artists – The Chronic (By Radio Juicy)

The great German label Radio Juicy have released an impressive 40 track compilation album titled The Chronic, which features various artists, including Philanthrope (tracks 1-6), Mono Massive (tracks 7-11), B-Side (tracks 12-16), Devaloop (tracks 17-21), 2LATE tracks 22-26), Lex (de Kalhex) (tracks 27-30), Emune (tracks 31-35) and tusken (tracks 36-40). The whole tape has a jazzy, lo-fi feel to it, which makes it a perfect soundtrack to vibe out to.

Please do check out their website and releases, because in terms of current hip-hop releases coming from Europe, Radio Juicy is certainly up there with one of the best. Also baring in mind that their sister label Urban Waves Records have put out some of my favourite releases this year in René Schier’s Seeds (also in my top 20 favourite releases of the year) and 72 Soul’s SOULDRIFTA. Two fantastic labels furthering the excitement movement of musicians coming from that part of the world.

Listen to Radio Juicy’s The Chronic below via Bandcamp, and make sure you support the music!

Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by. I run In Search Of Media with the aim of giving a platform to independent beatmakers, rappers and talented musicians. I also hope to make this a home for music discovery, interesting film analysis, exhibition reviews and other interesting content for all of you guys to dive in to. I hope to start a podcast and documentary-style project soon. If you're looking to be a part of this creative project, please go to the contact page and drop me an email, or connect via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. I also write for 'Music Is My Sanctuary.' Thanks 🙏
