Music: WYZE – Misconceptions EP

Covering new music from my country of origin Bulgaria is always exciting. So, I’m very happy to introduce WYZE (real name Yavor Zografski), a talented young producer based in Sofia. Misconceptions EP is his most recent output, 4 tracks worth of hard-hitting, 808-heavy beats which create a moody, cloudy and chilled-out atmosphere.

Inspired by the likes of Om Unit, Calibre, tsuruda, Sonder, Stwo and the whole Soulection crew, the slow-paced, dark and trap-influenced instrumentals are what makes this such a captivating listen. Living in the Netherlands for 4 years also had a profound impact on him musically. From the sinister tone of ‘Underwater Streams’ to the euphoric ‘Misconceptions’ featuring a subdued but present vocal feature from Ayla singing ‘get lost,’ this EP is an experience to be listened to in a dark, cold and urban environment.

I urge you guys to listen to and support WYZE’s new project Misconceptions EP. You can listen to his music below via his Soundcloud page.
